    TV news project



    Lot of things to say:

    20% class participation - 20% self-evaluation
    First: Assessment parameters are different this term, I will give you 4 grades each week, that will be class participation.
    Second: you will give a weekly self-evaluation grade  which we may add and divide with mine(attendance is a must for this one).
    3. The 60 % of the grade will be divided in two activities: a video sketch and a group presentation.
    The video can be individual or in groups, it must be available for week # 4, the final presentation in groups will be by the last week. 

    Well guys, now you must prepare  a news report for giving in class, you must search information and bring it to class in case we had not been assigned to the lab.


    You will be journalist, you'll have to create a name, logo and other elements required for an enterprise into news business. but also you are in charge of a 5 min - news bulletin. 

    Bring the information as clear as possible to prepare it in class, next Monday you will have time to organize your groups, and strat working for Thursday.
    Next class will be at the LAB.

    Parámetros generales para el desarrollo de las clases


    1.     El curso es de modalidad presencial, no puede ser tomado bajo ninguna otra modalidad.

    2.     El inicio de clases para los estudiantes es a las 6:15 pm No obstante es sabido que la población de la noche trabaja y termina sus labores al finalizar la tarde, por tal motivo se les brinda 15 minutos para el inicio correspondiente de la clase: 6:30 p.m.

    3.     El (la) estudiante que llegue después de las 6:30 pm tendrá un retardo, tres retardos acumulados es el equivalente a una falla.

    4.     La hora de finalización de clases es 7:45.

    5.     Tras la lectura de parámetros todas las clases se llama a lista sin excepción alguna.

    6.     Los estudiantes que cumplan con un 20% de inasistencias, perderán automáticamente el curso. Se le notificará al estudiante cuando lleve un cúmulo de fallas reiterativo.

    7.     El (la) estudiante que no pueda asistir por incapacidad médica, calamidad doméstica o compromisos laborales, deberá presentar su excusa, con el propósito de poder presentar exámenes, quizes, talleres, etc. en caso de ser programados.

    8.     El instrumento de comunicación entre estudiantes y docente a cargo es el correo electrónico institucional.

    9.     No es permitido comer en clase ni por lo estudiantes ni tampoco por el docente.

    10.   Los estudiantes deben tener siempre en clase: Diccionario, texto guía, copias previamente asignadas.

    11.   Los cortes programados corresponden a:

    ·          Primer corte (30%) Blog y participación activa en clase(cada semana hay una actividad que se evalúa, debate, foro, discusión, ect, el estudiante debe participar activamente ya que el docente lleva un diario de campo de su desempeño) la nota resulta de la preparación y participación en cada actividad. El cumulo de estas cinco semanas resultará en la nota final con un valor de 20% por semana.
    ·          Segundo corte (30%) la nota resulta de lo siguiente: 60% trabajo en grupos (el docente les dará tareas especificas a realizar en parejas y desarrollar una presentación final – equivale a un quiz ), 20% de auto-evaluación,  20% trabajo en clase y participación.

    ·          Tercer corte (40%) la nota resulta de lo siguiente: 20% Auto-evaluación, 80%  Parcial.


    12.   Al finalizar cada corte, el(la) estudiante deberá firmar su nota correspondiente, una vez firmada no podrá haber reclamación posterior.

    13.   El (la) estudiante tiene tres días  de plazo después de finalizar cada corte para efectuar un reclamo en caso de inconformidad por nota. No se reciben reclamaciones por notas fuera del plazo estipulado.

    14.   Es deber del docente informar al estudiante sobre su proceso académico: notas, desempeño, actitud hacia la clase.

    15.   El primer canal de comunicación es el docente a cargo, si en caso de no llegar a un acuerdo con éste, se debe seguir el conducto regular.


    16.   No se admite la entrada de asistentes a clase o personas ajenas al cuerpo académico.

    17.   No se realizan acuerdos fuera de clase, tampoco se asignan trabajos extra con el fin de mejorar o reponer una nota. 


    18.   No se permite hablar por celular en clase ni interrumpir estas por el uso del mismo u otros dispositivos. 
    19.   De utilizar el celular debe ser estrictamente para fines académicos.

    20.   En caso de haber una actividad académica (conferencia, charla, simposio, feria, etc), el debido programa académico está en la obligación de notificar al docente, al igual del número de estudiantes que asisten. 

    21.   En caso de realizar reposiciones de clase, el docente acordará previamente que fecha es factible para tal caso, el no asistir a las reposiciones genera fallas


    22.   Siempre debe primar el diálogo y el respeto por parte de los estudiantes hacia el docente y viceversa, no se permiten agresiones físicas o verbales.

    Welcome 2 BASIC ORAL ORACTICE

    This course is a program designed to foster students’ oral production and develop the learner’s language speaking micro-skills in an Upper-intermediate level through a communicative approach. It provides the students with a unique opportunity to perform language through continuous practice so that they are able to communicate in an effective way.


    TASKS

    1. To express him/herself with no hesitation  on a wide variety  of topics.
    2.To give clear descriptions, express viewpoints and develop arguments using some complex sentence forms.
    3.To  communicate with reasonable accuracy in familiar contexts; generally with good control.
    4.To have good grammatical control with occasional ‘slips’ or non-systematic errors and minor flaws in sentence structure.
    5.To Improve  pronunciation to an intelligible level even if an accent is sometimes evident and occasional mispronunciations occur.
